First-Timer FAQ: Water, Dump Stations, Firewood and More

First race weekend at Speedway Sports Park? These are the questions the office answers most often — collected here so you can spend your arrival call on availability, not logistics.

Do the sites have water hook-ups?

Sites are dry camping. The park provides water fill-up stations along the entire tree line plus a fill-up point at the Main Lot showers — which is also where the free dump station is located. Fill on arrival, dump on departure, and you are set for the week.

When can we arrive — and when do we have to leave?

The park opens at 8am on the Saturday before race weekend. Once you check in at the office you can set up and come and go as you please. The park stays open until the Monday following the race, so there is no Sunday-night rush.

Can we bring more than one vehicle?

Yes — extra car passes are available per race. All vehicles must fit on your site and must be pre-registered and pre-paid through the office.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are welcome as long as they are leashed at all times and picked up after. The owner is responsible for anything a pet does — same as anywhere, enforced kindly but firmly.

Can we have a campfire?

Campfires are part of the week, but out-of-state firewood is prohibited by New Hampshire law. The park sells compliant firewood and delivers it to your site free of charge. Balloon lanterns are illegal — please do not bring them.

How do we pay?

A deposit secures your reservation in advance. Once you arrive at the park, checks are not accepted — bring a card or cash for the balance, extras and rentals.

What about generators?

Generators are welcome outside quiet hours (11pm–7am, all units off). Units judged excessively loud or a fume hazard can be suspended, so pack a quiet inverter if you have the choice. Rental generators are available per race.
